Homecoming week is a time to remember. One of the best things about homecoming week is the Friday football game. Everyone goes to hang out with their friends and to support the MHS team. This year, Moline went up against
Alleman. Days prior to the event, both schools demonstrated their spirit with the help of social media: creating even more suspense for the game. The enthusiasm continued on the field with the help of Moline’s super fans. Not only
were they decked out in maroon and white attire but also they chanted the loudest and showcased great sportsmanship. This momentum was shared amongst the players when MHS scored two touchdowns right off the bat and got two conversion points. Later on, Alleman came out of nowhere and also scored two touchdowns, which evened out the score to fourteen. Now, there was so much suspense that no one knew who would win. It was anyone’s game at this point. Fortunately, Moline crushed Alleman by racking up seven more touchdowns and eight conversion points; ultimately, making the final score 64 -21. Following MHS’s victory, everyone on the bleachers ran onto the field to express their school spirit and to celebrate the massive win. There were good vibes all around, thus, making it a night to remember indeed.
